Shukhee Gram Reaches Rohingya camps ,Cox bazar with Free Healthcare

Cox’s Bazar, September 2026

With the aim of bringing modern and quality healthcare services to the doorsteps of people living in remote hilly areas, marginalized communities, and residents of the Rohingya camps in Thaingkhali, Ukhiya, the fourth “Shukhee Gram” has officially begun its journey. Following the successful initiatives in Sitakunda, Rangpur, and Feni, this remarkable initiative has now been expanded to the hilly region of Thaingkhali in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, and the adjacent Rohingya camps.

Under the slogan “Shukhee — Complete Healthcare Solutions,” the initiative provided healthcare services to local marginalized communities and the Rohingya population with the overall supervision and support of Mohsin-Fatema Siddiqui Somaj Kollyan Shongstha (MFSS).

A Unique Combination of Online Healthcare and Digital Booth Services

Shukhee is primarily a modern online healthcare platform that connects patients in remote areas with specialist doctors through the internet. As part of this special initiative, digital healthcare booths were established to utilize the benefits of Shukhee’s online platform.

Dedicated committee members and volunteers of Mohsin-Fatema Siddiqui Somaj Kollyan Shongstha (MFSS) efficiently managed the entire process at these booths. They listened carefully to the health concerns and physical complications of local residents and Rohingya patients and communicated their conditions to the doctors connected online. They also clearly explained the doctors’ advice, instructions, and prescriptions to the patients.

Throughout the campaign, MFSS members successfully coordinated booth operations, online connectivity, and communication with the doctors, ensuring the smooth implementation of the entire medical camp. Through their enthusiastic participation and sincere cooperation, patients from the remote hilly areas and Rohingya camps received a valuable opportunity to access specialist medical consultations through online healthcare services.

Hundreds Receive Free Medical Treatment and Medicines

During the inaugural and day-long medical campaign, hundreds of women, children, and elderly people from the marginalized communities of the Thaingkhali hill areas and residents of the Rohingya camps received free medical consultations.

Based on the advice of the specialist doctors connected online, necessary medicines were also distributed to patients free of cost during the campaign.

According to the organizers, limited access to healthcare facilities in the hilly and densely populated camp areas causes significant hardship for local people, even when dealing with minor illnesses. The combination of Shukhee’s online healthcare services and the direct booth-based support provided by MFSS volunteers has brought significant relief to both local communities and residents of the Rohingya camps.

Why This Initiative Matters

Ensuring access to basic healthcare for people living in hilly, remote, and camp areas is just as important as providing food and relief assistance. Modern initiatives such as online healthcare can play an effective role in addressing seasonal illnesses, skin diseases, and various other health concerns.

Local residents of Thaingkhali and people living in the Rohingya camps expressed their appreciation for the joint initiative of Mohsin-Fatema Siddiqui Somaj Kollyan Shongstha (MFSS) and Shukhee, while also calling for similar digital healthcare services to continue in the future.
