MFSS Launches Free Cancer Medical Camp and Three-Month Community Cancer Care Program

To promote cancer awareness and improve access to healthcare for underserved communities, Mohsin-Fatema Siddiqui Somaj Kollyan Shongstha (MFSS) successfully organized a Free Cancer Medical Camp and Awareness Session on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Muktijoddha Complex, Sitakunda. The event was conducted with the support of the social organization Shukhee and received an overwhelming response from local residents and patients.

The medical camp also marked the official launch of a three-month, completely free cancer care program for underprivileged cancer patients in Sitakunda. Through this long-term initiative, eligible patients will receive continuous medical consultations, follow-up support, and guidance from qualified healthcare professionals at no cost.

The camp was held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, providing free medical consultations and health assessments to attendees. To ensure a comfortable and accessible environment, separate service booths were arranged for male and female patients, with particular attention given to women and elderly participants. Experienced physicians conducted health examinations, offered medical advice, and addressed patients’ concerns individually.

Following the medical consultations, a dedicated Cancer Awareness Session was conducted to educate participants about cancer prevention, the importance of early detection, and recognizing the warning signs of the disease. The session encouraged community members to seek timely medical attention and adopt preventive healthcare practices.

The event was attended by several distinguished guests who expressed their appreciation for the initiative and encouraged continued efforts to improve community healthcare. Among the guests were Mr. Fakhrul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Mrs. Lutfor Nesa, Upazila Social Services Officer, and Mr. Mohin Uddin, Advisor to MFSS.

The organization reaffirmed its commitment to standing alongside vulnerable communities through sustainable health and social welfare initiatives, contributing to a healthier and more informed Sitakunda.
