Youth Festival 2025: A Call for Environmental Responsibility at Guliyakhali Sea Beach

On December 31, 2024, a cleanliness program and discussion meeting were held at Guliyakhali Sea Beach, Sitakunda, Chittagong, as part of the Youth Festival 2025 to enforce the ban on polythene and polypropylene shopping bags. The event emphasized protecting the beach’s natural beauty and promoting eco-friendly practices.

Key attendees included Upazila Executive Officer K.M. Rafiqul Islam and other local officials, along with organizations like BNCC, Rover Scouts, Red Crescent, and BD Clean. Participants pledged to adopt sustainable alternatives and take collective responsibility for preserving the environment.
